What is a Devan?

It's me! I'm Devan! I was told that I wouldn't receive my official MillennialTM Membership Card and commemorative t-shirt until I'd launched some sort of blog, so here it is... 

 

I've always loved a good art project. I dabble in a lot of different types of crafts, including knitting & crochet, foam crafting & costumes, painting, sewing, and more. I am an expert at exactly none of them, so I'm not here as an authority on techniques or best practices. I don't tend to work from or create patterns, so I'm not here to provide those, either. The purpose of this blog is to share my projects and what inspires me, in hopes that it might inspire you to create something unique of your own! And hopefully I'll be able to provide some helpful tips and resources along the way.

 

I'm a big movie & TV fan, especially (obviously) Star Wars and Disney, so a lot of my projects are inspired by movies and shows that I've fallen in love with. To me, art is only fun if it's something I'm really excited about, so I usually wait for inspiration to strike and then figure out how to make my vision a reality. I love learning new techniques and "cracking the code" of coming up with something new to achieve a desired effect. I hope that this blog can spark some inspiration for you, too!
